We know that many questions about your child's health care will arise, often at unexpected times.. Our nursing staff is available to answer the routine, every-day questions; Dr. Free is also available to answer the more complicated questions.

Please call during regular office hours with these routine questions as well as requests for medications, prescription renewals, appointments, and explanations of bills.For sick child visits, please try to call our office between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. if possible. Our policy is to see all children on a same-day basis if either we or you feel they are significantly ill.

If you call us during normal office hours, you should expect to receive a call back within a few hours. If you don't hear from us, please call us back. If you call from work, leave your home number and cell phone number as well.

If you call us after hours, you should expect to hear from either the doctor, nurse practitioner or nurse on call within 1 1/2 hours, unless you have stated that it was urgent.

When you call after hours, you will hear instructions that will enable us to return your phone call.
Please turn off your answering machine if you are at home. Also, please turn off your " caller ID block" .

If you are concerned that you have not been called back quickly enough, please try us again. Sometimes we have been given wrong numbers and sometimes our beepers or car phones malfunction.

If you call us on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays you will be given instructions so that we can call you back.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 to be brought to the nearest hospital .
